Who needs them & why?

Most people who suffer from chronic or reoccurring muscular skeletal pain could benefit from custom made orthotics.

Custom orthotics are devices that are made specifically for your feet & are then inserted into your shoes. They help support your feet & aid in proper bio-mechanics during gait (the way you walk). A foam cast along with an examination of your feet is done. This information is sent to the lab & a pair of orthotics specially designed for each patient is created. This usually takes about 2-3 weeks. Bio-mechanical problems and/or pressure exerted on the feet daily, can cause pain in the knee, hips, back & feet. Orthotics may help correct this dysfunction thus alleviating the pain. Many private insurance companies cover custom orthotics.

Another popular option are the sandals which have custom orthotics built into the foot bed making it easy & a cool option for summer.
